I use markers when I color. haha I've been doing more and more digital art lately though. :s
Firstly... it is simple to the eyes. Meaning that it does not have too many random lines or details that many people prefer in tattoo's - for me they are just to compensate for lack of imagination. This one is simple with details as required.
The colors and shades are also appealing. The orange and how it darkens near the base of the tail and lightens to the tail end or "cheeks"gives an impression of light and finally the swirls of blue with their grainy texture add the final touch to the work.
Again, I am no authority on tattoo's but I really like it!
